We started this project on Thursday 10/1 up at Lake Nacogdoches, one of the better bass and crappie fishing lakes in East Texas. We built this project to preserve the shoreline of this customer’s property without impacting the spawning beds and marine plants along his shoreline, which is one of the better bass fishing points on the lake. The timber bulkhead is carefully designed to have two peninsulas and angled walls facing outward opposing each other to “cancel out” the wave reflections of the new wakeboard boats that everyone is getting these days – but are wreaking havoc on delicate shorelines. We carefully installed this wall so as to not disturb the environment yet still protect our customer’s shoreline – especially during the springtime and early summer rise caused by seasonal precipitation.
