About This Project

This boathouse is almost 1,800 square feet~! It is not only beautifully designed, it is a top quality entertainment-style full kitchen and wetbar “Super Man Cave” wonder.

The wetbar is a bi-level ceramic tile countertop design with space for a built in Jennaire Range, double stainless steel sink, and it is designed to be wind resistant to keep bottles, glasses and dishes from being blown away during windy days.

The built in 60″ flat screen TV, and full surround sound system for watching sporting events is the main aspect of the design. You can see the Television from anywhere on the boathouse… including the swim deck!

The two 26′ boat slips have safety railings so someone doesn’t accidentally walk into them, and has a drop-down easy-loading 4′ wide finger pier between the slips for easy boat loading when the water is down.

The storage room for the kitchen is 6′ x 10′ with additional storage underneath the wetbar being 32″ x 16′ long. Plenty of room for anything entertainment related for sure!

Finally, the storage room for the boats is 10′ x 10′ and is angled so it doesn’t impede on the view from shore OR from the boathouse to the house.

Both storage rooms have plenty of shelves, steel double-bore doors. The boat storage room features custom fishing rod holders, and a work station. The kitchen storage room has a refrigerator and shelving for the entertainment system.

It was trimmed back a bit and the other one enlarged so as to leave it open to the view from the shoreline deck on the house. The main walkway was moved to the right to provide a straighter access right into the entertainment area. It came out really nice.

The main aspect of the storage rooms is that both are specially built all the way up to the bottom of the roof rafters – this will enable a “chimney effect” when the doors are closed – that keeps air moving – UP, drying wet gear and maintaining a cool room even on 100F+ days of Texas summer. The hotter the roof gets, the cooler the air is inside!

Don’t believe me… try it for yourself~! It works beautifully.
