After a good two and a half weeks of allowing the new bulkhead and its backfill to really dry out – we have been concentrating on the boathouse, the new 1/2 mile driveway and the new pond.

Over the last 6 months – while crew #1 & #2 have been working on these larger projects – I have signed a dozen or so smaller projects that I have cautioned people about time-wise. We are just too swamped to even schedule these smaller projects.

But starting this morning – all that changed. We have just hired a complete highly experienced 3rd crew, led by an old Waterside Construction employee. Bo came with 2 other guys ready to work.

Since it’s been over 10 years since Bo worked for me, he needs to re-acclimate himself as to the ways of Shoretech Marine – which is at a higher quality level than the old Waterside Construction did things. Since we are a smaller organization, we can really concentrate on our quality. That means far above everyone else around here, so he asked to start out on some smaller stuff first. Perfect!

To allow the new crew to acclimate to our company we will have them work on a few outstanding smaller projects on the Kavanagh project – before sending them out on their own. Starting with the boat ramp – a perfect break-in project for our newest crew, and not a job for a novice.

I know Bo has been doing marine construction since he was in his early teens, so the job is in good hands.
